Densely growing evergreen shrubs, such as junipers, euforbiae, myrtles, and of course wild olives intermingled with succulents and herbs like thyme and lavender.
In addition to shrub areas, woodland consisting of chestnuts and evergreen oaks is found in some spots. Again...a perfect backdrop for creating those magnificent sun-baked gardens for which the island is famous.
