Villa Jovis was built by the Roman Emperor Tiberius who chose to live in and reign from Capri from 27-37 AD. It covers approx. 7000 sqm and is the largest of the 12 villas built by Roman Emperors in Capri (Augustus and Tiberius).

This is a nice morning walk to be reached from Capri Town after about one hour and a half, with breathtaking views, sights and scents of Mediterranean macchia all over the way.
